St. Patrick’s Day 2023 was all about giving back. On a holiday synonymous with Guinness and Irish revelry, we were poised to lead the charge and bring people together in the spirit of uplifting their communities. Our creative platform “Surging Together” was a play on the literal surge of nitrogen in a pint of Guinness as well as a nod to the collective good that results from people working together. By partnering with Pavegen, a kinetic energy tile company, we were able to literally harness the power of the surge of revelers’ footsteps in Chicago during the river dyeing. This collective energy translated into community service hours pledged in support of Guinness Gives Back – a program focused on supporting communities in need. Every step, spin, and Irish jig contributed to our efforts to make this year’s St. Patrick’s Day the best one ever.
After kicking off our celebrations in Chicago, we kept the momentum rolling with an activation in Baltimore at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery, and culminated our efforts in NYC where brand partners Joe Montana and Joe Burrow volunteered at City Harvest – joining Guinness in their give back mission.
