For the 53rd Anniversary Gala of the Harlem Junior Tennis & Education Program (HJTEP), we developed a cinematic video designed to inspire giving by showcasing the transformative power of the program. Built around the central question “Why support HJTEP?”, the piece weaves together intimate sit-down interviews and high-energy b-roll footage to illuminate the impact HJTEP has on student-athletes, alumni, coaches, and supporters alike. The storytelling is driven by personal reflections and powerful imagery—capturing moments of grit, mentorship, and pride both on and off the court.

Our goal was to create an emotionally resonant narrative that honors the program’s legacy while motivating continued support. By spotlighting the “why” behind HJTEP—from both the young athletes chasing their dreams to the dedicated adults guiding them—we brought to life the organization’s role in shaping champions in tennis, education, and life. The result is a video that not only celebrates the program’s achievements over 53 years, but also invites viewers to join in building its future.
